Rafah

The use of the word “if” in the above headline is sickening.

...if they launch major invasion of Rafah.

Do the hundreds of thousands of people who have been killed or forced out of their homes since 10/7 not count as major? Not to mention the people protesting it all, having assault rifles pointed at their skulls for holding a sign with the word ceasefire on it next to a watermelon.

A war that has sparked worldwide outrage, radicalization, and action - yet they intentionally choose language that diminishes the destruction that has been ongoing far before 10/7.

There are over 600,000 children sheltering in Rafah. And the number shrinks daily, not because of “evacuation”, but because they’re being murdered. The vile attacks on Rafah are being livestreamed and have been for months.

Evacuation doesn’t exist when there’s no way out alive.

We must face the ugliness we’ve created and acknowledge that this is not the world we want. That this is not about h*mas or hostages but about power, greed, and money. About land development and dehumanization. Time and time again, we are shown that the government and powerful are not making decisions based out of morality or even care for citizens. They not only don’t care, they revel in our suffering.

WE take care of each other, WE keep each other safe.
